A New Constitution for UWHNZ
UWHNZ is registered as an incorporated society under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908. A new Act, the Incorporated Societies Act 2022, came into force on 5 October 2023 modernising the laws and the way that societies like UWHNZ need to operate. As part of the introduction of the new Act, UWHNZ is required to reregister under the new Act before 5 April 2026.
The UWHNZ executive has prepared a constitution (after receiving feedback in January) for approval by the members of UWHNZ at the 2026 AGM that is scheduled for Sunday 22 March 2026. The constitution that will be presented at the AGM is now available to members to review.
